7 Wardrobe Essentials Every Woman Should Have

Take a look in your closet. How many things do you never touch because they don’t fit, they’re torn, you’re not sure about the style or the style simply expired?

Your wardrobe needs a makeover, but not just a seasonal one. It needs pieces that can live long, you can grab for whatever life throws at you and that make you feel good.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 … and we promise it will be worth it.

1. Jeans

Do we really need to go into why you need a few great-fitting, flattering and comfortable pairs of jeans you can wear every day, with anything, for nearly any occasion? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

2. Ankle Bootie

The ankle bootie is appropriate with dresses and jeans alike. Heeled or not, just make sure it’s comfortable. If it wouldn’t be weird, I’d wear mine every day. Every. Single. Day. (Yes, even in the summer!)

3. White Tee

Think of your white tee as the most versatile piece in your wardrobe (next to your jeans). So simple, but with so much potential — Wear it with jeans, heels and a statement necklace for happy hour or pair it with a pencil skirt for business. It goes with anything, and we mean anything.

4. Moto Jacket

Move over, blazer, we’re tagging in the moto jacket. Equally as chic and structured with double the statement. Leather (or a leather look) never goes out of style. Did we mention it’s insanely versatile?

5. LBD

The Little Black Dress. Lucky you, you could own one, perfect-fitting LBD and wear it all year long: with tights and (faux) fur in the winter, and a shawl and modest pumps in the spring. Either way, it’s there and it’s dependable.

6. Jewels

Your jewelry doesn’t necessarily need to make a statement — as the trend is now — but adding it to any outfit, even your plain, white tee, adds the perfect finish to a polished look. Throw a few sparkles on your wrist or in your ears, and your look just got an upgrade.

7. Cardigan

Picture this: It’s Saturday, you’re insanely cozy on the couch with a new book when you get an impromptu invite for a coffee date. You slip on your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans, some casual sneaks and a white tee. But it’s a little windy out — you might get chilly. You reach for your favorite cashmere cardi and shrug it on.

Have you ever been more comfortable? Maybe if you were naked.

Now, throw on a simple gold necklace. The finished product is chic and comfortable.

Sure, you may want to add some extras to your wardrobe, like a few scarves, shoes and handbags. Maybe even a couple of trendy jackets or printed tops. But you’ll always come back to the essentials — seven things you’ll never regret having (and loving) to wear.

Your mission: Find the essentials with a perfect fit for your body and budget. That way, you’re sure to look and feel great, 24/7.
