With Labor Day just around the corner, it’s about time to start making plans for how you’ll spend it. Although this holiday isn’t as prone to parties and trips to the lake, it’s still a day to take advantage of. We’ve put together a list of Labor Day activities to make the most of your day – and to have a little fun!
Reflect on your labors
Take the time to sit and think about everything you’ve accomplished this year. I’m not just talking about your day job, although that counts. Did you set any goals? Maybe you wanted to redecorate your patio, nail a presentation or run a 5K. You don’t have to necessarily have reached your end goal, but honor the work you’ve done so far and be proud of yourself – You deserve it.
Make time for something you love
Let’s face it – Our average workday and even our weekends get filled up with busy schedules quickly, which means we don’t get to take a lot of time to ourselves. So, use the holiday wisely – If you love painting, find a blank canvas. If you love to dance, crank up some tunes! And if you love to cook, heat up that stove. Whatever you do, make it yours and make it awesome.
Make time for someone you love
Again, we get busy. Spend some quality time with your favorite person by taking a walk in the park, sharing a meal together or even watching your favorite show on TV. The people who love and support us make our lives a little brighter.
Make an end-of-summer bucket list
Now that the important self-reflection and quality time is done, think of all the summer activities you want to do while the weather is still warm. Only a few weekends left! Can we say date night?
What could be a better activity for your day off? Plus, we’re greasing the wheels a bit: Everything on Lee.com is up to 50% off AND you can take an additional 15% off with promo code LABORDAY AND get free shipping on your order. But the code is only valid on Labor Day, so hurry before your favorite styles are gone!
It looks like you have a busy (but fabulous) day ahead of you! Do you have any Labor Day traditions to share with us?
